Polyacrylamide is a general term for acrylamide homopolymers or polymers copolymerized with other monomers. (PAM) polyacrylamide is one of the most widely used varieties of water-soluble polymers. Mainly used for flocculation and sedimentation of various industrial wastewater, sediment clarification treatment, include iron and steel factory wastewater, electroplating factory wastewater, metallurgical wastewater, coal washing wastewater, sludge dehydration and so on.

It also can be used for clarification and purification of drinking water. Because its molecular chain contains numbers of polar groups, it can absorb solid particles suspended in water to bridge between particles or agglomerate particles to form large flocs through charge neutralization, so it can accelerate particles in suspension. Then obviously accelerate solution clarification and promote filtration and so on.
