Water Quality Characteristics

(1) Rubbish leachate is extremely complex, with many types of pollutants and great harmful to environment.

(2) The concentration of Rubbish leachate is high and change range is large, chemical oxygen demand (CODcr) from 5000 to 65000mg/l.

(3) Total content of nitrogen and ammonia nitrogen is very high, ammonia nitrogen (NH3-N) is from 300 to 2000mg/l, and total nitrogen (TN) is from 1000 to 3000mg/l, very difficult to treat.

(4) The salt content (TDS) is 1500 to 15000mg/l, low efficient to treat by biochemical treatment and also take longer time.
